Review of Unthinkable (2007) by Lee A — 22 Sep 2010
When a jihadist terrorist, played convincingly if somewhat against type by Michael Sheen, holds America hostage with a clutch of nuclear bombs, a black-ops interrogator 'H' (Samuel L. Jackson) gets mediaeval, and very unconstitutional, on his ass to uncover the truth.
Carrie-Anne Moss, a by-the-book federal agent, tries to put the brakes on Jackson's Marathon Man antics while also appealing to Sheen to postpone armageddon. Jackson is his usual menacing and thoroughly charming self and keeps this tight and challenging thriller moving.
Why did it go straight to video? We need to get H to have a little chat with the studio mogul who made THAT decision.
