Review of Unthinkable (2007) by Kostas S — 26 Dec 2010
A terrorist (Michael Sheen) has placed three nuclear bombs in three major cities in the US. He is captured and tortured about the whereabouts of the bombs. That's pretty much the whole movie. Sounds like an episode of "24" but in here there is some serious questions about ethics, civil rights & in the end, you are left pondering: who exactly was the good guy here? There is some real evil here besides the terrorist, with the form of H (Samuel L.
Jackson), who is kinda morally blind and is ready to do anything to get answers and the only bet for the good guy part is an FBI Agent Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss). But overall it was just another war-on-terror flick, with the constant threats from both sides making the equally blind to their own stupidity.
