Review of Unplanned (2019) by Cv60 — 31 Mar 2019
I recommend the movie "Unplanned" for anyone who is concerned about abortion. The movie chronicles the real life journey of a Planned Parenthood worker's journey from supporting to opposing abortion.
The movie does not pretend to be a even-handed account of abortion (and in my opinion, it shouldn't), so if you want to see a debate between two opposing positions, this movie will not provide that.
Rather, as tastefully as possible, it shows the effects of abortion on both the women patients, the workers and the child victims. For those who are concerned about graphic images, the movie does not have any scenes that are inappropriately graphic, although some scenes are emotionally very difficult to watch.
While not a fun movie to watch, it will give you something to think about and discuss for a long time after you leave the theater. As a parent of two daughters, I believe the movie is appropriate for adolescents age 15 and up.
