Review of Unknown (2011) by Curt C — 15 Jun 2008
Half-decent low-budget thriller that wants to be be the new Reservoir Dogs meets Saw meets Memento. The premise is interesting but the solid cast is almost completely wasted. Caviezel is the main focus but it's Greg Kinnear's character "Broken Nose" who seems to be the most interesting; goin' from bloodied and hurt to violent and back again.
There's a nice dark twist at the end but director Brand doesn't really know where to go with it. Okay if you need to kill an hour and fifteen minutes (despite its short running time I thought it lasted long enough; never a good sign) but nothing to write home about.
