Review of Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2010) by Mel Z — 02 Feb 2010
A B-Movie at it's finest. I remember watching the first one with JCVD and Dolph Lundgren when I was about 5 or 6. So now almost 20 years later, they have reteamed and the result is suprisingly good.
Van Damme is surprisingly good in this, considering his acting ability in the past. It seems like with 2007's Until Death and 2008's JCVD that Van Damme is beginning to show acting ability. Dolph Lundgren on the other hand is well-Dolph Lundgren what more can you say.
Pretty solid action for this type of movie and it kept me entertained throughout, really gritty violence. What really sucks is that Van Damme only shows up sproadically and its a full hour before Lundgren steps in.
Overall Universal Soldier: Regeneration is good, not great, but a solid action movie. A step up from Universal Soldier: The Return, but falls short of the original.
