Review of Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2010) by Lorne L — 28 Mar 2010
There was a story?! Really, I'm not kidding. It was there.
The action choreography was pretty good and the fight realism got very gritty -- to the point of even putting you in a sickening feeling that fights actually are not healthy.
Van Damme really looked his age -- especially in Blue-ray.
There was even a moment you thought they were going to pull a Roy Batty (Bladerunner). Shame they didn't want to attempt that dialog; would have made Dolph's role a little more poignant.
Could've ranked higher than a two, but setting it at Chernobyl was idiotic. The rebel occupiers would have been throwing up the whole time and incapable of fighting.
