Review of Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012) by Nicholas L — 28 Feb 2013

The latest Universal Solider movie brings us a "serious" look. It never quite goes ballls to the wall action until the ending sequence. I'm down with the franchise changing direction but with what this movie shows us, this series needs a bigger change in direction, like a reboot.

The film reunites the original Soliders played by Dolph Lundgren and JCVD. The only problem is that they are barley in it. The film is long and bogged down by not the best dialogue and a slow pace. The only thing it brings to the table is the classic Universal Solider fightscenes, but those moments are few and far between.

There are better action movies out there that have a better plot and more action, go seek those out rather than this. This movie is only for the die hard fans of the series.
