Review of Universal Soldier (1992) by Brad G — 24 Apr 2010
In 1992 I was 13 years old and I was desperately awaiting the great versus battle of Van Damme/Lundgren. That 13 year old was sadly disappointed by the clash and I gotta say that the 30 year old self is still disappointed.
I wish the film didnâ??t leave the Universal Soldier program so early in the filmâ??I want more Terrorist smashing! Lundgren is still pretty terrifying as the villainous GR13, but Van Dammeâ??s amnesiac GR44 is just a bored Arnie Terminator.
Not the worst Vann Dammage (Iâ??m looking at you Maximum Risk), but itâ??s no Lionheartâ?¦VF.
