Review of United 93 (2006) by Rod G — 28 May 2011
From the moment "United 93" begins everyone watching already knows the horrific and tragic ending in store. Despite this fact Paul Greengrass perfectly directs this story with the utmost intensity and tension.
Above all Greengrass directs this film with care. It is an emotionally powerful and difficult subject for some to handle, but Greengrass does so with grace and reverence making sure all those who watch are aware of the bravery displayed that day by 40 strangers who banded together.
"United 93" is extraordinary because it objectively and respectively tells an important story that could easily have been butchered in the wrong hands. "United 93" is one of the toughest films you may ever watch, but it is also one of the most important.
