Review of United 93 (2006) by Carlos A — 02 Feb 2010
This is definately the best picture of the year. No judgements, no opinions regarding September 11th, Al Qaeda or Afghanistan, just the story told in present tense. Paul Greengrass makes sure none of the characters have a history.
What we know about the passengers on United 93 is exactly what we would know if we had been on the plane. Greegrass draws no conclusions or takes no side in this story, just shows us what happened. He filmed this movie in an unconventional way.
And that makes it the best film of the year!
