Review of United 93 (2006) by Nicholas A — 04 Mar 2010
Just like Bloody Sunday this film does come to life once the action starts and is engaging from this point on. The problem I have is with Greengrass' insistence on shooting the entire film with shakey as shit cameras.
The fact that he uses this gimmick from the start means that it actually doesn't add anything when the "action" starts. Why does he refuse to tell a story with the camera? if he did try this and used the camera to build up tension until the end he would perhaps allow more empathy to grow with the characters and not piss me off so much.
Lazy Paul.
