"United 93" is intense, powerful, and hard to watch. But it pays incredible memorial and honor to those who lost their lives on 9/11, including those aboard the planes that very day. Writer-director Paul Greengrass succeeds in avoiding a typical Hollywood approach, and creates a compelling and respectful piece.
The addition of unknown actors, real-life Air Traffic Control representatives, and a consistent documentary quality add to the film's authenticity, intensity, and believability. One of the most important films ever made.
