Review of United 93 (2006) by Paul D — 26 Jun 2012
Such an intense film. The first hour captures what the insanity and confusion of that day must have been from the technical people on the ground. It doesn't try to exploit or manipulate emotions at all, just lays out the events of the day in a very realistic, almost documentary style kind of way.
There is not much character development to speak of because it's just people going about their jobs or taking a flight, and average day for real people. One of the most intense filmgoing experiences I've ever had, and after watching United 93 a handful of times over the years, it has lost none of its initial impact.
