Review of Unfriended (2014) by Angel D — 09 Aug 2015

B+ Unfriended is the kind of horror movie not everyone will enjoy or be entertained by but to me, I found this film to be original, frightening giving me goosebumps all the way until the ending. The movie drags in the beggining and takes to get to the scary material and each character is your typical horror movie team with the steriotypes.

But what I find scariest of Unfriended is the film's direction, the relastic tone to it all because this entire mocie is filmed on a computer screen. This should have been an epic bore but with the creepy direction the movie had, the suspense where you were scared to watch these people die and the writing that made the characters and story interesting and enjoyable to watch.

This movie does that material so well that you help on having fun (and sometimes hard to watch or hear) with Unfriended that has a couple of jump scares but in the end. I was scared and had goosebumps throughout the movie.

It's a well directed and paced movie that exceeded my expectations with this original cyber-bulling horror thriller. Like I said, this movie takes time to get itself really started and the characters are your typical horror steryotypes.

I would say that if didn't enjoy this, it's either because you were dissapointed that movie would be something else that you imagined, you were bored while watching it or if your just annoyed with the characters, and it bothers you that the whole movie is a long skype confrence.

If you are ok with the fact that this movie's entire run-time is on a computer screen and if you like a good horror movie, the Unfriended will keep you thrilled and terrifyed just like me.
