Review of Unforgiven (1992) by Shounak B — 04 Mar 2013
This coming of age western film has some great possibilities to convey a message of forgiveness about those unjustified crime taken place on the mythical era of Western,mid 19th century. But there is some misconception or mishandling of the plot line that it fails just for a bit or so to convince about the protagonist's character returning into his young brutal characteristics.
Gene Hackman gives hell of a performance as a hard heated sheriff turned into a evil one and being killed by the old-time murderer Protagonist.Otherwise this film brilliantly recaptures the nostalgia and beauty of north western America.
