Review of Unfaithful (2002) by Brian K — 02 Jul 2012
Entertaining movie. Unfaithful is well written directed and acted. Unfaithful is about a woman who lets herself become seduced. The erotic pay off is soon over shadowed by the Unfaithful woman reaping the damage she caused to her husband.
The movie is well directed. The director creates a fast paced, movie with a slow build up. The viewer experiences the erotic tension and release of the actors Lane and Martinez. The director equally counters the movie's first half experience with Gere's rage of an emotional meltdown and Lane's loss of her peaceful life.
Lane's performance as the seduced women is excellently acted and is complimented with Martinez player/scumbag character. Gere outshines everyone acting as the controlling personality who suddenly loses control.
The combination of script, direction and acting asks the movie's dark question what happens when one goes too far? Four out of five stars.
