A surburban housewife has an affair to counter her domestic boredom, her cuckhold for a husband kills the lover to counter his overwhelming sense of betrayal, and both try to hide the evidence of their respective sins.
..poorly. You'll spend 95% of the movie sympathizing with Gere as Lane spends 60% of that time rubbing 100% of her body against 75% of Martinez. And then you'll spend the last 5% of the movie yelling at the screen and wondering where Lane got that bruise on her inner thigh.
