The Underworld movies have, believe it or not, successfully developed a mythology substantial enough to warrant a prequel such as this one. While it may seem like nothing more than a ploy for dollars, Rise of the Lycans actually offers a compelling story and impressive performances from Bill Nighy and the criminally underrated Michael Sheen.
