Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Brandon H — 15 Dec 2012
It's hard to make a vampire/werewolf movie realistic, but this series does it through complex characters and relationships. This characteristic continues in Awakening with the addition of Selene's daughter.
It takes the complexities beyond love to sacrificial love. The only reason I gave it less stars than Underworld and Evolution is because I miss Michael's part. I understand why he's not in it and it makes the movie better, but I would just prefer him in it.
I also wish they would fill in the gap of space with some more detailed flashbacks or better explanation.
