Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Brandon V — 17 Jun 2014

This is the 4th installment of the Underworld movie series where Kate Beckinsale returns as the protagonist vampire warrior. Though, I'm not much into liking vampire stories on movies, yet I'm solved to this action-packed movie that has all the elements of suspense and adrenaline rush for each scene.

And Kate Beckinsale lead it all the way. Actually, she pull up the movie for me for her great act and performance as Selene while the whole movie is lacking in an essential story that will make solid and leaning so much on the action side.

There so much action in the movie that it forget to instill a solid story and/or background that the franchise is known for in its previous installments. It hint a sequel in the end and I wish on that movie, there is more story and/or balance between the action and story.

And of course, Beckinsale still on the lead.
