Review of Underworld (1937) by Chris J — 03 Feb 2012
My review is based entirely on the Extended Cut that was released on DVD about a year after the movie premiered. Originally, I didn't really care for this movie very much. I thought it had a lot of potential that wasn't put to good use.
The more I watch it, though, the more it grows on me. Bill Nighy, who plays Viktor, did a fantastic job, as always. He's a great character actor and his performance as the twitchy elder vampire was really fun to watch.
The Extended Cut flows a lot better than the Theatrical Release, which jumped around a lot.
