Review of Undertow (2004) by Ashley B — 27 Dec 2008
The more I see of Jamie Bell the more I believe he is one of the best young actors out there. He was by far the standout in Jumper (I know, not saying much) and he is excellent in this as well. It was nice to see Josh Lucas take on a different role and he actually did a nice job with it. It's not going to twist and turn really...it's a pretty straight forward drama/thriller, but I think it's good that way. David Gordon Green is 2 for 2 so far on movies of his I've seen.
P.S. Is it me or is Dermot Mulroney always just kind of solid in every role he's in. He's not your leading man...you don't want him to carry your movie...but lock him into a supporting role and the dude is just solid.
