Review of Undertow (2004) by Ryan J — 10 Feb 2010
David Gordon Green loves him some southern culture. Another strong addition to his filmography. It's another film where there's a lot of moments that really have nothing to do with the main story, but make the movie more interesting and gives the characters a chance to develop. I really enjoyed it.
My biggest problem would be why the boys didn't tell authorities? They're on the run this whole time, but they didn't tell the cops why?
A movie that seems simple at first, but then you go down the first unexpected drop in this roller coaster as it takes you for a surprising ride, ending with an ambiguous ending that'll have you discussing for hours upon hours.
