Review of Undercover Brother (2002) by Pb.n.j P — 08 Mar 2008
Brings the funny much better than I ever would have credited. Uneven, certainly - mostly whenever Chris Kattan is onscreen. Dave Chapelle is solid (aha) throughout, as is Eddie Griffin.
High points: the entrance to the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. (the tube, not the arm-in-black-pantyhose bit; "You the Grim Reaper, woman! I don't wanna go to hell!"), Chapelle's comments from the floor of the gadget lab after being shot, and the film's willingness to mock both sides of race relations. It's not a groundbreaker, but it's funny.
PS: Denise Richards, particularly as White She-Devil, is EVERY man's Kryptonite.
