Review of Under the Skin (2014) by Emeraldcity — 03 Sep 2014
A genuinely disturbing science fiction movie unlike anything else I have ever seen. Good work. It's nice to see Scarlet Johansson doing something a bit out of the ordinary since she came to the public eye like most young women in film-doing more girlie type movies that were meant for audiences of young women.
That being well and good I liked the ending of this movie and they way they portrayed the aliens as something truly alien that we basically couldn't communicate with at all. Might be like that. I liked the scenery of Scotland also.
I think that them shooting it there was a good idea as it gave the project a feeling of otherness somehow. Go see it, but don't go alone.
