Review of Under the Sand (2001) by Private U — 02 Mar 2008
Good film starring Charlotte Rampling and directed by Francois Ozon. While on vacation with her husband, the two go to the beach and after taking a brief nap, Rampling awakes and can't find her husband, he has vanished.
The rest of the film is about how she deals with the matter. It's pretty original the way the aftermath is handled, and there are some pretty great moments, particularly when she's lying in bed in a red dress, if you've seen the film you'll know what I'm talking about.
Though it was well made, I just wasn't too involved the entire time. But Rampling does do a great job in it.
