Review of Undead (2003) by Melissa M — 27 Feb 2010
Credit must be given for what these guys accomplished while completely self-funded. This Australian indie film starts off fairly well, and with quite a few laugh-out-loud moments and spectacular, ridiculous gore.
If they'd stuck to the country town/western zombie flick, they may have been much more successful. Instead, they have too much going on, and the movie doesn't know whether it's a zombie horror film or a sci-fi action/adventure, and the story becomes confused and nonsensical.
Still, there are some good elements, and I'm glad they went on to make the much better Daybreakers.
