Uncle Boonmee is terminally ill, and as he approaches death his wife's ghost and a strange apparition of his son return to join him. The film is an exact opposite of an action movie, it is slow and measured, but not despite its subject, sad.
It is however extremely weird (can't think of a better word) and I'm not sure I understood most of it. It needs to go on my 'watch again' list.
