Review of Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010) by Bob O — 16 Apr 2011
Hazy and dream-like, but honestly did not have the socio-political, cultural, or religious reference sets to understand much of what was happening in the story. The film has some dazzling cinematography, though--much of it was filmed in Thai jungle at magic hour.
Be warned: the film is a series of very long, static shots which makes its roughly 2hr running time feel much longer.
