This is just one of a few times in my life when a critically beloved film just hit me more like art-house mumbo jumbo than an actual movie. Despite some striking and haunting visuals, Uncle Boonmee is an off-puttingly slow and insanely quiet tone piece.
Oh, and at least two different inferences to bestiality...no thanks.
