Review of Uncertainty (2009) by Michael V — 17 Sep 2012
"An intriguing plot involving Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins characters on flipping a coin at The Brooklyn Bridge and deciding what their future holds by taking two different paths: one is green: where they spend the whole day with Kate's (Collins) family on the 4th of July where everything is quiet & nice. The other is yellow: where Bobby (Gordon-Levitt) picks up a stranger's cell phone in a Taxi with Kate and gets into trouble & chased with a bunch of madmen in Manahattan.".
"Gordon-Levitt & Collins gives solid performances (not their best though). Olivia Thirlby (Juno, The Wackness, The Darkest Hour) has a small but good role as Kate's sister. The movie is interesting but it's slow, has pacing issues and you can get bored with it. While I liked the idea, I personally thought they could have stayed with the green path with Kate's family. The movie was much more interesting and just better with that story. That being said, Uncertainty is a interesting flick with solid performances from Gordon-Levitt & Collins but could have been better.".
