Review of Uncertainty (2009) by Rebekah C — 13 Aug 2012
It has a very interesting and unique concept, where the characters' choice of spending their July 4th leads to two starkly different, life changing paths. The first scenario is an action packed suspense, with the protagonists on the run; the second is a drama which reveals the deep fissures in Collins' character's family.
At times, it feels like two completely different films smashed into one, and in the end, at least in my opinion, the latter storyline, the family one, is far more emotionally satisfying and engaging. Nevertheless, the concept of the film is unique and provides for an interesting film experience to those willing to accept indie film experimentation and all it's highlights and quirks.
