Unbroken, a story of an Olympic athlete who was pulled into war, felt really unsatisfying walking out because your always wondering "what was that characters name and why was he important?" Unbroken really needed more character development and a better explanation of certain events.

for an example we never find out why the main character, who's name I forgot, had to serve in the military and who are these family members that just appear in and out of the movie and we are left wondering why are they important.
