Having read the book, we found the movie to be superficial and lacking critical detail that would have connected is with the characters. For example, in the book his mother wore his flight wings on her apron all day, and every night took them from her apron and pinned them to her nightgown.
This movie was meant to tap strong emotion; in our opinion, feel very short.
