Review of Unbroken (2014) by Bryan L — 10 Nov 2015
The movie didn't do the book any justice. What should have been a great story about human triumph turn out to be just another movie with great cinematography and that's about it. I understand that the movie's time limit didn't allow for more detail but the movie's downfall was in the casting and or acting.
The beatings that was shown in the movie felt like anyone can just endure it. It didn't feel like it can cause a soldier to have a post traumatic war syndrome that Louie acquired later in life.
