Review of Umberto D. (1952) by Jens T — 11 Aug 2011
Vittorio De Sica's Umberto D. is the story about the old citizen named Umberto Domenico Ferrari who have trouble of paying his rent and the money for food. He also has a little dog named Flike whom he loves more than everything in this world.
He knows that he's not able to take care of him due to his economical problems. It's a wonderful love story. But the other dragging elements in this picture might hack it down a little, like all the conversations and arguments.
I give it a marginal thumbs up.
