I think this is a small miracle of a movie. A closed down man learns to open up to life and love. Peter Fonda is an excellent actor, and his strong, affecting yet understated performance will be the capstone of his acting career.
Victor Nunez captures the wistful and haunting beauty of Florida, where life drips slowly like honey. It's worth seeing just to capture the essence of Florida, but also for the performance of Peter Fonda and the excellent supporting cast.
Yes, that is a young Jessica Biel playing the rebellious granddaughter.
