"Your lies are old. But you tell them pretty good.".
A review by Mick LaSalle summed it up perfectly: "It demonstrates a filmmaker in complete command of his craft and with little control over his impulses.".
What you can say about Oliver Stone, however, is that even when he grates on you -- and there are various reasons why he might -- he has vision. Stone's movies are almost always or perhaps just always unique, something that no one else could recreate, and that's a rare quality.
