My goodness, this is one confusing, glorious mess of a movie. Joachim Phoenix rules, Sean Penn is beset, Billy Bob and John Voight are disgusting, JLo is JLo, Nick Nolte is Nick Nolte... It is rumored that Oliver Stone was doing WAY too many drugs on this film; I could believe it.
Pointless shaggy dog story, great running gags and quotes. Sean Penn is great as the perpetually doomed star of this flick.
