Review of U-571 (2000) by Patrick K — 07 Sep 2007
I originally saw this film in a theater with massively overtorqued speakers. This was a big mistake - I never realized just how much glass submarines had onboard to conveniently explode into highly cinematic bits, without actually effecting the ship's aquatic abilities.
This is another submarine thriller along the same vein as "Hunt for Red October," except without the plot, or the acting, or the suspense.
