Director Jonathan Mostow crafted a tension filled nail-biter with this underwater submarine war thriller. A pulse-pounder that ranks up there with some of the best submarine war films out there (Das Boot, Crimson Tide, and K-19: The Widowmaker). U-571 is packed with enough edge of your seat thrills that the air is literally swept away from your breath. It features some absolutely spectacular and exhilarating underwater battle sequences that will take your breath away. Pure tension at it's best, a film that keeps you on your toes from start to finish.

Matthew McConaughey is a show stopper, Bill Paxton is great as well as Harvey Kietel. Mostow and company assembled a great cast for this one.

Explosive, dynamic, kinetic, and visceral film- making at its chaotic best. Loud, utterly realistic, and super intense, U-571 will leave one depth charge away from a cinematic heart attack. Watch out for more from Jonathon Mostow as he has shown he can craft a seriously enteraining film as he did here.
