Review of U-571 (2000) by Jesael L — 06 Apr 2015
This movie is probably the closest it can get to be like Das Boot, only potraying Americans instead of German sailors. Although it does not match the atmosphere or the character connections with the audience like in Das Boot, it still provides a decent popcorn film-ish experience, with moments of tension that keeps the viewer to reach out for more.
Definately worth watching for whoever seeks loud and destrucive moments in this American WW2 submarine epic.
