Review of Two Weeks Notice (2002) by Lee B — 13 Sep 2009
Hugh Grant has to be the king of Romcoms. So many he has been in have been good. And I think that is all he stars in these days. I know he was in Sense and Sensibility, but I think everything else is romcom. And why not, he?s good at it and picks some pretty good projects. This one, was pretty good. I think he just plays himself, snide and self-absorbed ladies man that does have a heart but is just too dumb to realize what is happening.
Sandra Bullock is my anti-Reese Witherspoon, in that I find her pleasant in anything except where there is an exception when I absolutely loath her in a role. This was a good one for her. And the movie had genuinely witty parts. It?s a good no think romcom, exactly what it purports to be.
