Review of Two Weeks Notice (2002) by Mariah J — 13 May 2009
Didn't really think I'd like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. They had some chemistry (didn't think they'd have any) and it was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I really liked how it didn't show them falling in love or anything like that, but that they slowly realize that they do love and need each other and really are already in a relationship without even trying.
(Loved the scene where they go out to eat and they take food from each other's plates...small scene, but cute and meaningful.) It was a different approach to the romantic comedy that was greatly appreciated; kudos to the people who made that decision.
When she had to go to the bathroom, even though it was obvious humor, it was hilarious; funniest part in the movie probably. Oh and also liked the ending when she's ordering take-out and he's commenting on the size of the apartment.
..funny stuff. Sandra's always been funny and good in these roles, but I was very happy to see that Hugh Grant's still got it....preferred him over her actually. I thought he was better, but anyways, very cute movie.
