Review of Two Weeks Notice (2002) by Mloy X — 12 Dec 2013
George Wade (Grant): Before you came into my life I could make all kinds of decisions now.
I'm addicted I have to know what you think. What do you think?
[holds up cufflinks].
Lucy Kelson (Bullock): I think your the most selfish human being on the planet.
George Wade (Grant): Well that's just silly. Have you met everybody on the planet?
This was pretty cute for rom-com but fairly predictable and formulaic. There was nothing surprising about the entire film except that two very likeable actors seemingly has very little chemistry. I mean, Bullock and Grant had on-screen chemistry enough to convince you that their characters liked each other but not explosive, passionate chemistry where you know they'll move mountains for each other. Nonetheless, this was still pretty entertaining and both Bullock and Grant are very charismatic that they can make any old boring film enjoyably tolerable. It's good enough to watch once or twice when it's on the telly, but if there's something better on, definitely a passable film.
