Review of Two Lovers (2008) by Corey C — 09 Jul 2009
This is a solid movie. Joaquin Phoenix and the rest of the cast are top notch when it comes to the acting and it is one of those movies that passes quickly even though not an action or suspense type movie because the acting is so good.
The troubled soul of Joaquin's character is apparent (seemingly without effort) and it's absolutely beautiful to see the underlying pain subtly rear its head throughout the movie. Gwyneth Paltrow delivers a flawless performance as well, as she always does.
She is stunning and plays the role of the confused damsel in distress with a strange grace that is almost charming.
