Review of Two Lovers (2008) by Anthony C — 07 Feb 2010
A rich movie full of themes that revolve around the idea of contrasts. From the black and white photography of the Joaquin's character, to his distinctly contrasted lovers, to a suggestion of is bipolar condition, contrasts abound.
Everything ties together in a satisfying way at the end as he finally understands that the conflicted life he's been enduring has simply been because of unrequited choices and that life is not necessarily more exciting when you take the path of greatest resistance.
