It's a movie that ends and you think... "Huh. I dont know if I liked it or not..." Phoenix was compelling in his awkward role as the damaged and jilted lover, but the movie just never seems to pick up speed.
It just barely keeps your attention, mostly because you expect it to get better at some point, but it mostly stays mediocre and depressing.
