Review of Two Lovers (2008) by The3Academysins — 06 Oct 2019
Two Lovers is an interesting, gripping, tender, character driven romantic drama starring Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow. Both actors are really bringing their A-game on this one. The direction by James Gray sets an aesthetic, moody atmosphere that helps the actors carry the film.
There are some odd, convoluted storytelling choices in the script, and this movie almost lost me a couple of times, but I am glad I stuck it out to the end.
