Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Brad S — 09 Jul 2009
Overall, not a very good movie. It fails to show any real emotional connection between any of the characters, the so called love stories are under-developed and unbelievable, and the plot is vague and uninteresting.
There is one dance scene that, to me, was so awkward that I couldn't even watch it. Not because it was gross, but because it was so pathetic. Joaquin Phoenix's character Leondard is one giant unstable, awkward, mentally unbalanced psycho.
